The Porvac vaccine for swine fever

PRODUCT USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

      (Porvac Vaccine)

1. Description:

Oil-inactive vaccine – Each dose contains E2 antigen units of swine fever virus complexed with swine CD154 molecules

2. Composition:

Each vaccine dose (2 ml) contains 50 μg of E2CD154 antigen (25 μg / mL) and oil adjuvant – Montanide ISA 50 V2

3. Functions:

   Provides active immunity against swine fever

4. Dosage and Usage:

   – Vaccination schedule

   Immunization twice, 15 – 21 days apart

     * For piglets: Vaccinate from 15 days of age

     * For sows: Use during 2/3 of the first pregnancy and at weaning

     * For boars: Revaccinate every 6 months.

   – Dosage and administration

    Administer a dose of 2 mL by deep intramuscular injection:

      – For weaned piglets, growing pigs, and adult pigs: Inject within 70 mm behind the ear base.

      – For piglets, inject into the hind leg muscle as neck muscles are not well developed.

5. Notes:

     – Avoid direct contact of children with the vaccine

     – Shake well before use

     – Use immediately after opening

     – Use as directed by a veterinarian

6. Storage:

      – Store at 2 – 8⁰C

     – Note: DO NOT FREEZE
